Water Sports

There is a local sailing school Roseland Paddle and Sail where lessons can be booked.

If you bring your own sailing dinghy we can arrange temporary membership of the local sailing club and use of the club quay (August is sometimes difficult) to store your boat and launch at all states of tide (this is only a 350m walk from Nearwater).

Kayaks can be hired from St Mawes Kayaks.  These sit on kayaks are very stable and are ideal for exploring the local creeks.  Buoyancy aids are provided.

Mini cruises
Mark (who runs this business) offers mini cruises in his high speed rib (fast stable speedboat).  Great fun and allows you to see much more of this area than you would by land.

Stand up Paddle Boarding
Launched in June 2014 a new school based in St Mawes teaching Stand Up Paddle boarding.  See their website for more details http://www.getonboardsup.co.uk/

If you really get the bug and wish to buy a kayak then a great local shop is Westcountry Watersports, Mylor Yacht harbour.
