We are pleased to announce the addition of "Little Court" Self Catering flat to Nearwater's accommodation offerings in St Mawes.  This is a great flat in the middle of the village with an elevated position overlooking the harbour and out to sea.  It will very comfortably accommodate 3 people and in the off season can be booked for part weeks as well as its usual pattern of 7 days Sunday to Sunday.

The Film crew at Nearwater

Mon, 04/10/2010 - 13:22

This week at Nearwater we are full with a film crew, who are making a short film starring John Hurt in St Mawes this week.  This morning Ami's Mum's house was the film set with Angela (Ami's Mum) one of the extras.

The film is to be called "Sailcloth" and will be 18 minutes long.  It hopefully will be released at either the Cannes or Berlin Film festivals.  Elfar is the director and his film company is Beserk Films

Triathlon Training!

8/6/10 Tim's gig rowing racing career got off to a reasonable start on 23rd May at the Rock Gig Regatta at Daymer Bay.  The weather was scorching and I was the oldest, least fit and most overweight in the crew (spot me in the photos in the gallery "Sporting Events"), but despite this, or maybe because everyone else was so much better we (The Roseland mens "B" crew) managed to come third out of 10 crews.  The event was amazing, 20 years ago when the gig club in St Mawes started it was more an excuse for a few drinks and a bit of rowing, now things are much more like a serious rowing club you
