We are pleased to announce the addition of "Little Court" Self Catering flat to Nearwater's accommodation offerings in St Mawes.  This is a great flat in the middle of the village with an elevated position overlooking the harbour and out to sea.  It will very comfortably accommodate 3 people and in the off season can be booked for part weeks as well as its usual pattern of 7 days Sunday to Sunday.

The Film crew at Nearwater

Mon, 04/10/2010 - 13:22

This week at Nearwater we are full with a film crew, who are making a short film starring John Hurt in St Mawes this week.  This morning Ami's Mum's house was the film set with Angela (Ami's Mum) one of the extras.

The film is to be called "Sailcloth" and will be 18 minutes long.  It hopefully will be released at either the Cannes or Berlin Film festivals.  Elfar is the director and his film company is Beserk Films

The Summer well and truly underway

Thu, 22/07/2010 - 12:57

Well, no blog for ages.  This is a good sign as it shows we have been very busy.  Highlights of the last few weeks were:
Taking out my first couple sailing, the sun was shinning, the wind was blowing and suddenly along side us were two huge playful dolphins.  Now I cannot guarantee this every time as I have been sailing in Carrick Roads (The water between St Mawes and Falmouth) for 25 years and I had never seen dolphins there before, but it must have been a good omen for a great summer!
